Sales Representative Job Description

  • Job Title –  Sales agent or Sales Representative
  • Reporting to –  Team Leader or Sales Manager
  • Salary – Total pay including commission, bonus, and overtime would be around $20,777 – $92,738
    • Hours –  40 hours a week

 

  • Purpose of Position

The main purpose of sales representative is to sell the products of the company to the people in an appropriate manner and earn profits. Sales Representatives are having high-demand in the sales market where every company is appointing sales executives so as to improve their sales levels and also profit level. These sales executives get interact with the customers via telephone, face to face and emails however the main aim of this representative is to sell the products to the general public.

 

  • Duties and Responsibilities of a Sales Representative

Sales representative duties and responsibilities are high in number it is very difficult to perform a sales representative job unless and until all the duties and responsibilities are done in an appropriate manner. Below mentioned are the duties and responsibilities of a sales representative.

  • Get in contact with the customers via telephone, email or face to face.
  • Introduce himself to the customer and give complete information about the selling product
  • Make sure that all the products that he/she is selling to the customers are in good condition.
  • He is also responsible of capturing customer complaints and escalating it to the higher authorities
  • Attending regular meetings
  • Need to have up to date information about the products and services and if any changes are made.
  • Whenever call backs are requested from the customers then it is sales representative’s responsibility to get back to the customer with a given time.
  • Capture all the customer details in the computer also with number of products sold, amount of profit, selling price, date and time.
  • Give transaction code to the customers
  • Receive payments from the customers, where the main duty of a sales representative is to take appropriate card details from the customers so as to avoid any inconvenience.

Apart from that sales executives have healthy incentives and good salary package which may again change/increase depending upon the performance and years of experience.
